Sorry about this silly question but what did I wrong?
I can't enter any of ['"`~] at the bash prompt!
Example: I enter
echo `date`
I see:
echo date
The result is
date
2nd example: I enter
echo '$$'
I see
echo $$
Output
1000
I can't belive this is the normal behavior. Any hints?
