SIOCGIFCONF but not SIOCGIFHWADDR

Cygwin supports ioctl(SIOCGIFCONF) just fine, which is great!, but
ioctl(SIOCGIFHWADDR) does not seem to be supported as of SIOCGIFHWADDR.
As I need to find out the Ethernet hardware address is there another way
to get this information?
