I've downloaded cygwin from the nasa.gov site too, and have McAfee Netshield 4.5, scan 
engine 4.1.40, and Virus definitions 4.0.4145.  Manually running Viruscan did not show 
any problems at all.  However, the background scan however keeps timing out - says the 
scan was aborted because it took too long to complete.  It's probably a glitch with 
McAfee.
