May I straightaway start describing the bug ?
[[EMAIL PROTECTED] sam]expr 10/2 #which should output 5
10/2
[[EMAIL PROTECTED] sam]a=22
[[EMAIL PROTECTED] sam]a=`expr $a`+10
[[EMAIL PROTECTED] sam]echo $a
22+10
[[EMAIL PROTECTED] sam]
[[EMAIL PROTECTED] sam]clear
[[EMAIL PROTECTED] sam]
Obviously "expr" has the meaning on all Unixes .
And my experience on these Unixes starting from SCO Unix says that THIS IS NOT HOW
"EXPR" works.
Please suggest to me (at : [EMAIL PROTECTED] because my mailbox was full) what you have
done , once you solve the bug.
