Sounds like you are on Win9x- 

To change your hostname, go into the Networking 
control panel and under the IDENTITY tab change 
the COMPUTER NAME to what you want your hostname to be. 
It is probably "OEMCOMPUTER" now, you can change it 
to be "NEWNAME" so your hostname will be 

"NEWNAME.domain.com"
