I am having a problem starting cron, and am thinking its because I installed Cygwin for just me instead of for everyone.
Here's what I am doing: joey@MARISA /usr/sbin $ cygrunsrv -I cron -p /usr/sbin/cron -a -D joey@MARISA /usr/sbin $ cygrunsrv -S cron cygrunsrv: Error starting a service: QueryServiceStatus: Win32 error 1062: The service has not been started. If I try to run cron manually, I get this message: joey@MARISA /usr/sbin $ cron seteuid: Not owner I don't know if there is a log I can look at to see if there is more information that I can give. This is on a Windows 2000 server system, build 2195. I have a /etc/group which has the SYSTEM identity which I have not changed and its in the /etc/passwd as well. I have administrator rights on this machine as well. Is there anything else I can check? Any ideas are appreciated!
