This is a technique which is used to establish nym identities. Mail is
selectively blocked to subsets of subscribers in order to see which nyms
then re-submit their postings, assuming they were lost in the (conveniently)
unreliable remailer network.
And it worked, too. Note that "Eric Cordian" sent three copies of
his childsex message. He can now be assumed to be among the subset of
subscribers who had their subscriptions temporarily blocked. By applying
this technique to different subsets, at intervals over a long period of
time, a close correlation can be established between anonymous posters
and their true names.
