Even more worrisome is the Feinstein-Hatch bill to make illegal the 
discussion of recording methods.

Anyone know which recording devices will be grandfathered under the 
Assault Recorders and Child Protection Act of 2000? I'm hearing on 
rec.audio.recording, soon to be removed from U.S. sites, that certain 
wire recorders may be allowed as "curious and relics," provided they 
are made nonoperational.
