Generally, I agree with both points, above.  However, I think the real danger 
is if it turns out thatONLY Russia (for example) is able to read "all the 
mail".  If Russia, alone, possessed the email, thatwould certainly be 
dangerous, because of the blackmail possibilities.  Those possibilities are 
veryalleviated if somebody else, other than Russia, has same and is willing to 
leak it elsewhere.    I, forone, think the world is far better off being able 
to read Hillary Clinton's and the DNC's email, if they release them promptly
