You're right. I don't take "sides" for the sake of taking sides. I try to see the value of as many perspectives as possible, and to understand and be able to reason from them. I said, from the outset, that I'm not ideological in that way. Ideology is rather like mental training wheels. If I make a factual mistake, and look it up and see that I was wrong, I then change my mind regarding that fact.
