The experimentee is charged with obeying Boss's every instinct immediately, or they are ripped to shreds themselves. They have made many copies of how Boss's life instinct seems to behave, but this situation is far outside of what they would ever expect to happen.
They take two small parts of Boss's brain, about a cubic centimeter each, that they recognise as going near each other, and bring them together. The two parts of brain vibrate a little, and then push themselves back apart.
