A Georgia-based phone and internet provider is appealing a $429,000
recovery order from the Federal Communications Commission's Wireline
Competition Bureau over the company's alleged failure to verify subscribers
qualified for pandemic-era subsidies, arguing that it is being punished for
using the eligibility verification system that the commission itself
requires them to use.
