Out of curiousity, does anybody know whether it detects ethanol itself
or leftovers from metabolizing the ethanol? The latter says somebody
in the car has been drinking (but might not be drunk any more),
while the former says that somebody recently consumed or spilled ethanol
(but might not be drunk yet.) I'd guess they're detecting ethanol itself,
which means that if you weren't drunk yet but some girl dumped
a drink on your head and you gave up and left, you're busted again :-)

                                Thanks!
