He sounds like the person I worked with in the infectious diseases lab in 1970. We worked in the same lab, mostly on monkey viruses and hepatitus-B,C. Simian retroviruses were our focus. We talked about using technology to bring down the whole house of cards.. On trips into Maryland, to bleed the goats, we talked about what America had lost. On a visit to NRIID in Bethesda, we debated how realistic "The Andromeda Strain" was (the novel, as the film had not yet come out).
