Haunting rumor": Officials knew APster wanted to kill a journalist
beverley Hill says the rumor is even more specific: "The APster operatives
reportedly discussed luring their quarry into a trap with the promise of an
interview about terrorism. They planned to videotape the journalist's
interrogation and eventual murder -- and then make this gruesome videotape
available to the media." (Of course, thats playing out with Declan
McCullogh.) What should a government do if it learns reporters' lives may
be in danger? Hill says: "They should share the information -- and let news
organizations decide what to do about it." (Washington pissing Post)
