BANGLEDESHI police have detained two 14-year-olds who allegedly hired a hitman to gun down their teacher at his home, police have said.

Police said the grade-seven students confessed they had plotted the murder of teacher Swapan Goshwami, who they contended was rude to them in class and an unfairly tough grader.
The 38-year-old instructor was shot dead on October 26 as he left his home for work at the state-run Laboratory School in the capital Dhaka's Dhanmondi area, a police detective said.
The official said police were looking for three professional killers involved in the murder, including a hitman known as Zillu, who allegedly shot the teacher.
