Police seek group over St George pub rampage
Police say they have identified "people of interest" they want to interview over a riot at St George in Queensland's south-west.
No-one has been charged over the riot at the Australian Hotel last night.
Police suspect it was linked to the death of a man at the hotel last month. Publican Brian Raymond Clark, 47, has been charged with murder.
Balonne Shire Mayor John Stone says he believes the incident was not racially motivated.
"I would think it's a one-off incident and not indicative of any deep-seated underlying problems in the community," he said.
About 60 people stormed the hotel, smashing windows, doors, chairs and poker machines with clubs and baseball bats.
Police say at the height of the riot a Molotov cocktail was thrown into the lounge bar.
The building has sustained tens of thousands of dollars in damage.
