Reconciliation between Indigenous and Non-indigenous people can only start when we recognise the hurt and pain that has been done by invasion and colonisation to Aboriginal people. A national apology is only the first step of a healing process which the Howard Government refuses to take.

National Sorry Day celebrations in Melbourne kick off a series of Reconciliation Week and other indigenous events in Melbourne and around Australia, including the celebration of Mabo Day on June 3rd.
