Thanks for the report. That's what release candidates are for, right :-) I compiled Sage a couple of revisions back, and it worked fine, and did another sage -ba when I sent out this email (and just now checked, it has the same problem with module-level cpdef functions). I'm going to try to sort this out and I'll get back to you so we can be sure it works with your symbolics.
