Yes, I understand the purpose of Naming.py (and I think it's a good  
idea). My question was why do we have two identifiers that  
essentially point to the same thing, with a function that does  
nothing but initialize one to the other in the initmodule. (And I'm  
guessing you have a good answer that I just haven't thought of yet...)
