Think and proofread before you send. There's value to an immutable
archive of what was said as well.

Same with mailing lists.

If replying to a message creates a new thread, and you can't group
messages by thread, you are using a seriously broken email reader.

Email is much more versatile than forums, let alone whatever the
latest forum-board-of-the-day web interface is. This is especially
true for those of us that subscribe to many lists and do any kind of
filtering. Also, if anyone wants a forum-like view, use
http://groups.google.com/group/cython-users . In any case, no, we're
not moving away from email.
