Dear Daniel,

You're welcome, and if we change the spelling from Leib Druker to Leib Drucker,
we learn from DiFMOE.

https://www.difmoe.eu/d/

that Leib Drucker was by no means an unknown in Czernowitz, but was a
librettist of numerous (Yiddish) operettas and a book author. A whole series of
newspaper articles in the 1930s provide information about this.

Enjoy your research!

Hi Daniel,

In July 1934 Leib Druker has an open air premiere, as reported in the
Czernowitzer Morgenblatt of 28.07.1934 (middle column, below):

More is not to be learned (for the time being) and whether Leib is to be
counted among the operetta group Adolf Tellner is not clear from this newspaper
advertisement.

Warmest wishes!

Subject: [czernowitz-l] Seeking information about a book of poetry published in
Czernowitz

Dear friends,

I recently acquired a small book of Yiddish poetry (really more of a pamphlet)
that was published in Czernowitz in 1934 by the "Czernowitzer Bleter" press.
The book is called simple "27 songs" (27 Lider) and is by Leyb Druker - perhaps
a pen-name? The book appears to be signed by the poet. The printing was done by
Avraham Hornik, Yanku Plonder-Gas 1.

I am wondering whether anyone has heard of this poet, or knows anything about
the book? I have not been able to find any information online.

Many thanks,
