Dear Deborah,

Rudolf Kommer was a prominent Czernowitzer, his life and work found a great
echo in the Bukovinian press of the interwar and postwar period. If you search
for "Rudolf Kommer" on DiFMOE, you will find numerous hits:

https://www.difmoe.eu

I mention only by way of example a full-page article in the Czernowitzer
Morgenblatt (p. 11) of 31.05.1931. There we learn that Rudolf Kommer stands in
a row with Max Reinhardt, Alfred Polgar and others and commutes between New
York and Vienna.

Have fun browsing through old newspaper archives, now fortunately digital and
free at DiFMOE!

Have any of you ever come across Rudolf Kommer born in Czernowitz 1886
son of Adolf and Cäcilia Kommer? I have date of birth but not when
he left Czernowitz nor his Matura

Thank you Deborah

Indeed a very interesting collection.I have gone sporadically through them,
most petitions got negative answers. I presume that some of the cases that
don't show any outcome might have been solved positively without being
writtenly recorded. May be with the help of money.

Thanks to Yohanan.
