Salomon Birnbaum, resident 29/8 11 November Street, Czernowitz, born 25.08.1890, married, 1 child, former merchant, applies - of course unsuccessfully - together with 70 other Jewish war invalids from the First World War to be exempted from wearing the Yellow Star.

You are asking if the names can be searched via a search engine. I don't know exactly, therefore I searched the USHMM Database of Holocaust Survivor and Victim Names: https://www.ushmm.org/remember/resources-holocaust-survivors-victims/database-of-holocaust-survivor-and-victim-names I did not find this particular Salomon Birnbaum, so I assume that these Czernowitz holdings have been digitized but are not yet available through search engines. Check it out, the USHMM databases are very extensive and extremely informative. Good luck with your research.
