Czernowitzers... Graphic novels are in vogue, as evidenced by the volume "REPLAY - Mémoires d'une famille (de Czernowitz)" by our friend Jordan Mechner:
https://www.jordanmechner.com/en/books/replay/ Now the volume "Blindekuh mit dem Tod - Kindheitserinnerungen von Holocaust-Überlebenden aus Czernowitz" [Blind Man's Bluff - Childhood Memories of Holocaust Survivors from Czernowitz] has just been published (in German): https://www.editionvirgines.de/Products/217/78/Blindekuh-mit-dem-Tod.html The graphic novel , edited by the Chernivtsi Museum of Bukovinian Jewish History and Culture, was first published in Ukrainian as part of the international project "Learning to Remember". The book is based on eyewitness accounts, archival documents, and old photographs and traces the history of the Holocaust in Czernowitz for young people and for use in schools, supported by the German Foreign Office, the Jewish Community of Düsseldorf, among others. Enjoy the reading!
