Hello, I am Sandra and i write you from Paris. My great grandmother was Sara Reiter born in Czernowitz between 1875 and 1885. Her father was Chaim Leib Reiter, her mother, Menie Myriam Magyar (sometime it is written Madiar, Modior, Magier..) Sara was from a musicians family, she was an harpist. She made some concerts in some Europe jewish places. When she travelled in Saloniki (Ottoman Empire) she met my great grandfather (maybe around 1902-1903). Sara Reiter married Hananel Revah, born in Saloniki (Ottoman Empire) in 1874. My mother knows they married in Czernowitz. I am looking for their religious wedding act, Ketuba but i don't find nothing. Their first child is born in Saloniki in january 1905 and a they had a stillborn in Czernowitz in october 1905.
I tried to look for some others informations from the music house, they were students or teachers. One of Sara Reiter's siblings married and lived in Wien. So i searched some informatons or her wedding there but i don't find nothing too. This is an important genealogical search for my own identity. I feel like she is nowhere and has disappeared without a trace of her. I thank you for any help you can give me. Best regards. Sandra Adato. ******************************************************************************* This moderated discussion group is for information exchange on the subject of Czernowitz and Sadagora Jewish History and Genealogy.
