Thank you for the report, Edgar! And congratulations to Frank on this very
successful book launch!

I was wondering how things went and am so moved to read your report. During
that same trip to Amsterdam (in 2009?) when I first met you, Edgar, my brother
and I also arranged to meet Robert Brucker and his family. At the time, we
couldn’t figure out how we were related, but with the availability of the
“Seven Seals” Radautz BMD databases nowadays, we were able to define our common
ancestry . . . with some prompting from Frank.

Warmest wishes,
Bruce

Subject: NEW BOOK: "Catharina" by Frank Krake
Czernowitzers...

Frank Krake is a bestselling author from the Netherlands and has published his
eighth book, “Catharina”. I had the privilege of attending the book launch
yesterday, which took place at the Westerbork Camp Remembrance Center. The
Westerbork camp was known as the “portal to hell” during the Second World War.
It was a “transit camp” to extermination camps such as Auschwitz-Birkenau and
Sobibor.

This fascinating true story centers on the extraordinary history of Jewish
Catharina Brücker. Through a bizarre turn of events, she survived World War II.
Dear Czernowitzers, do you have any idea where Catherina's family roots lie? In
Bukovina, where else, she came from the Brücker family of tailors from Putna,
who found their destiny and success in Rotterdam.

It's a small world, so we're not surprised but all the more fascinated that
BRUCE REISCH is related to the Brückers. Members of the Brücker family even
from Canada were present at the book launch, which was very well attended and
received a strong media coverage on TV and in the press.

The book publication is so promising that a second edition has already been
ordered and additionally it is already available as an audio book. However, it
remains a pity that “Catharina” is not (yet) available in English. In the
meantime, we can read Frank Krake's bestseller “The Last Survivor”, which has
been translated into several languages, including English, German and French:

Yesterday that was a moving event in Westerbork and I am more than glad to have
had the chance to be there, not least as Bruce's "ambassador" to his family in
Europe. By the way I have learned something about the current situation of the
Jewish community in the Netherlands. I hope, no, we do hope, that there will be
an English edition of “Catharina” soon...!?
