It may help if you add a docstring to _getCursorClass(), but I still have no 
clue where to put my code.

The closest thing I have gotten in the way of advice from you is:

 > update dbMySQL.py to include that
 > code, and dBackend.py to add the default method behavior.

Should I just add it, and if you don't like it you can tell me how to implement 
it?
