#1123: Check menu item and radio menu item selected images not showing up.

Ok, running the WxPython, I see the following things:
- A check menu item has nothing to the left when not selected and a
clear, big checkmark when selected.
- A radio menu item group has nothing to the left for those items not
selected and a clear, big circle when selected.
- Regular menu items without a picture have nothing to the left.
On Dabo I see the following:
- A check menu item has nothing to the left when not selected and an
itty bitty circle when selected.
- All radio menu items have small itty bitty circle to the left of them
regardless of being selected or not.
- All regular menu items without a picture have the same itty bitty
circle to the left.
I can't tell which radio item is selected and I have to squint to see the
small circle (more like a pixel) when the check items are selected.
