Odd - I see a bit of a flicker on my Win2K machine; once the second design window popped back in front of the blank one. But clicking the 'X' closed the empty window without a problem.
Anyways, I've modified the code so that if an empty window is opened upon startup, and then you open a file, that original window is used for the opened design. Hope this helps your problem!
