This should be changed. We are actually in the process of releasing
0.8.2, which has been languishing for 3 months now. We will not be
moving to 0.9 until we are committed to breaking support for Python
2.3 and wxPython 2.6. Once we can actually release 0.8.2, versioning
will be much simpler, as we can then use Web Update to keep everyone
current.
