I have tried using Boa Constructor which is a good start to learn before moving up to Dabo but run's poorly in Ubuntu. I am using dabo.trace() to run in the debugger to exam the how self works in the scope of Dabo. There are a lot of advanced concepts in Dabo that is in the bizObj and ui class designer that are not quit covered in any books. In other words there is a step learning curve.
