Correction:
in command line use, everything's ok;
in the py2app'ed app, I get German locale with US date format
BTW: Order matters in:
dabo.dLocalize.install('ednet',
os.path.join(os.path.dirname(__file__), 'locale'), True)
dabo.dLocalize.setLanguage('de', 'utf-8')
