I will send a screen shot but it will probably look a lot like an app
wizard screen shot. ;^) YMMV but for me it was very easy and therefore
enjoyable. I like Ubuntu, I like Python and I really like Dabo. I have
been using FoxPro for 19 years and it is still not easy putting together
a completely new application. Although it was a very simple one built
with the app wizard and then modified, I put together a distributable
application in a little over two days with Dabo - and that was the first
time. With the Dabo framework and controls it seems to me that you get
a lot more from Dabo as part of the framework and therefore it is easier
than VFP. I also developed it on Ubuntu and once it was working, copied
it to Windows and it ran fine. I can not tell you how much I like
Python. I am fairly new at it, but I find it pretty close to VFP so the
learning curve is not that great - everything seems to work (does that
need explaining?) - and I can do everything I want with Python where I
would have to incorporate third party applications in VFP to accomplish
the same thing.

Ed and Paul and all the folks on the Dabo list are always there for a
quick answer to my questions.
