I wish I were able to run Dabo. I have WindowsXP Pro, SP3, win32+ Active Python 2.5.2 (Mar. 2008)+ wxPython 2.8-win32 -unicode-2.8.9.1; sqlite3; pysqlite2; psycopg2; reportlab 2.4+PostgreSQL8.4. Everything´s alive and working.
I have downloaded: 1) dabo-0.9.2-win.zip, extracted it into c:/dabo and placed dabo.pth file with "c:\dabo" instruction in the Python25/Lib/site-packages/ folder. 2) DaboRuntimeSetup.exe and installed it into c:/daboruntime Nothing worked till I created a <cs> folder in both ../dabo/locale folders. The resulting behaviours are these: ad 1) When in Python25 shell, I can successfully call "import dabo". But running a file.py with "import dabo~app = dabo.dApp()~app.start()" script results in the following result message: "Unable to open database file". This file I was running in the PyScripter editor, which pinpointed dbSQLite.py file and line 49. ad 2) Running DRE has various results: - I am able to play "Minesweeper" - I can´t play "Montana", because its Help is empty. - I am able to open DaboDemo window, but this is not "alive", it is "stone dead". - Anything else doesn´t work. I believe, that I am one rope-length under the summit, but havent any idea what to do. Please, help me. Thank you.
