OK, I'm not that familiar with this code (help, Paul?), but it looks like there
is an out-of-place parenthesis. Can you try changing the line that reads:
self.HomeDirectory = os.path.join(os.path.split(val)[:-1])[0]
to:
self.HomeDirectory = os.path.join(os.path.split(val)[:-1][0])
and see if that makes things work?
