Gack. I go a away for a weekend and everything breaks :-( Well, I aint't got a clue about makedef.pl, and it isn't mentioned anywhere in Porting/. And the comments at the top of the file don't immediately lead me to deduce what changes I I would have to make. Oh, and I don't have access to OS2, Win32 or AIX.
