A Reflection on Today's Scripture:
"Sing out and tell now, all shall be well now,
for in a manger, Jesus is born!"
What words can express the joy of being rescued from everlasting
doom?
On this beautiful feast may we truly know the great gift of the
Father's love.
In Jesus, the gift of the Father's Love is not hidden. It becomes
Flesh. It cries in a manger, reaches out and touches us - the poor,
the lonely, the sick, the sinner, the desolate. It suffers, is
stripped naked, mocked, nailed to the cross and dies a shameful
death.
This is the great Gift of the Father - Jesus, the Father's only
begotten Son, given out of love for us.
May we rejoice with the multitude of the heavenly Hosts as they
praise God and say:
"Glory to God, Glory to God, Glory to God in the highest!"
