I can see how it can be very useful in cases where you want to abstract the
prefix from the urls in the template, but I'm not sure that it's something
that people to often enough to warrant to always have it as part of the
defaults. Mostly considering how easy it is to add it via the hook like you
did.

Maybe something for Dancer::Cookbook or Advent calendar then.
