Ruby,
I think Danebytes is a safe-haven for those of us who love Danes and have
been around for a while in the computer-world of Danes.

We have all experienced those other lists go through the huge growth and
teething difficulties, and almost every single one without exception had
been subject to the flame wars that began on the original Dane list and
spread like wildfire across every message board and mail list with Danes in
the subject line!

I no longer have the time to spend on my computer that I used to - too many
other commitments, but Danebytes is the one list that I have never
considered dropping - all others I have played with, set to no-mail,
unsubbed or just skimmed through, but I always read my Danebytes in its
entirety (if somewhat late<G>).

I think you have done a wonderful job with DB - and having new members be
sponsored by existing members reduces the opportunity for mis-matches.
