ladyR has cardiomyopathy....just got the word at 6 tonight.
cardiologist says on a scale of 1 (benign) to 10 (2 wks to live) ,
hers is 2.
He said the reason she is not dead is because of all the
supplements i have been consistently giving her for 4.5 yrs
since we found out she had a murmur. And that he is not
going to even suggest meds because of the superior physical
condition she is in. So, just keep doing what i have been.
He said the supps have held the progression of it back.
Her murmur has not changed 1 iota in 4 yrs.
Well.....that is all well and good..but i was expecting him
to tell me the pvc's on EKG were from stress........i was NOT
even entertaining cardiomyopathy.
Couple of months ago she was 135 lbs, now she is 120-126
she wriggled on the scale. Less weight is good, both for her heart
and for the spondylosis.
Cardiologist heartily approved of the regimen to get rid of arthritis.
Agreed that the incident the other night was indeed stress.
Said, if or when she faints for the first time, he will FedEx me a
harness with a monitor on it....for deeper testing.
He said he had never heard of the report that cardio can also be
caused by a bacteria, so i am sending it to him, when i find it!
He was incredibly impressed that she had never been given drugs.
He was impressed with her diet....said to keep it up too.
Said most people only want drugs, but that in his practice/experience,
the supplements achieved better results.
Wants me to send him the label of the Hawthorne i use. (bet i have to get
a better one)
He said her thyroid level was in normal range, but i am going to get a test
done with Dr. Dodds anyway.
We found out this by accident....just because i didn't want to do
anesthesia ! I think my vet knew.....but had me get the Doppler
just to be sure.
Soooo, needless to say, i anyone hears of NEW research/info....
i need to know about it....but am in the process of readingeverything that
is
out there.....and i joined a cardio list.
.....and yes, i am in a funk....
