I've been reading the messages regarding Zeus and it reminds me somewhat
of my younger male Jerry...he is fine with me and my husband but when
other people go to his kennel to see him or are too close to me, he gets
grabby. It has happened twice so far. He is from my first and only
breeding. Noah, my older male is his father and Maddie, who
unfortunately was put down due to her biting a guy down the street then
my husband, in the face, about 9 mos later. I've taken him to a
behavior specialist and did all she suggested and he is fine with
us...definately me and usually my husband, but not other people. I'm
getting ready to board him tomorrow since my husband and I are taking
Noah with us on a weekend vacation and am very worried about his
behavior. He has stayed in this kennel, actually vet hospital before
and they put a "bite" sticker on his papers so everyone knows. Are
there any opinions on whatelse I could do? I don't want to lose him,
but I'm afraid, although not as much as my husband, that he will really
hurt someone sometime and I've already gone through loss of house
insurance due to his mother and the pain of loosing her was great. Any
advice would be appreciated. He has been to obedience training since he
was younger and just finished again, after the first incident, he
finished a class again in July. He is 2 yrs old and neutered, which
didn't calm him down at all. Thanks.
