Living in the country, skunkings happen more often than I would like. My danes
have been sprayed point blank a time or two. Yes the smell up close and
personal is worse!!!!! It can litterally take your breath away and leave you
gaging. I have tried numerous concoctions, and have found ERA to be the most
effective. Yes that is ERA the laundry sopa. The liquid has a strong
degreaser in it. The skunk spray is an oil. You need something that will cut
the oil and lift it off of the hair. I haven't found this to damage the dogs
coats at all.
