Julie,
to get my girl through the tunnel I had to take her to class hungry<G>.

Then, scrunch the tunnel up so it is only half the normal length, then you
go all the way in until you are up nose to nose with Lola. You go through
the tunnel backwards, using a treat to lure her (she should be on-leash so
you can hold onto her.). Once you have got her through once she should be
more relaxed about doing it repeatedly. After I had done this about 6/7
times with Katie, I called her from the other end of the tunnel, while the
trainer held her at her end. She was on a long training leash (which I was
holding) to encourage her to come to me (plus treat and encouragement of
course). She was a little reluctant at first, but once she did it by
herself the first time she got to like it (built her confidence) and then we
gradually lengthened the tunnel until she was running the full length, no
problems. We accomplished this in one lesson, but it was a private 1 hour
lesson, so you might realistically expect to work on this for a couple of
lessons if you are sharing time with other people.

Good luck - you'll be amazed how this improves her self confidence once she
gets the hang of it!
