I agree with Zooko that Ubuntu Hardy is an important release to target. Feature Freeze for Hardy happened around February 15th, but exceptions are still possible, as documented here:

Darcs 2.0, which only has about 3 release-critical bugs left to squash: http://tinyurl.com/2bu7sp And otherwise addresses several key shortcomings of Darcs 1, including partial repos vs lazy and of course the improved conflicts handling.
