Maybe `darcs revert` should really be called `darcs rollback` then?
Renaming one existing command into another existing command would be
a major confusion. Let's not do that. These commands are already
etched into the darcs user's mind. Unless there is a real problem
with a command I see no reason to start replacing and swapping them
like there's no tomorrow, just because others use something else. If
it ain't broke don't fix it.
I wasn't suggesting it would be a good idea to rename this one, just
that (to me) "rollback" seems like the most sensible option.
You *could* do it, I guess, if you renamed `darcs rollback` to `darcs
XXX`, and then, much much much later, renamed `darcs revert` to `darcs
rollback`. I imagine you'd want to leave it a year or so to do
something that radical though. But the same principle could be
applied to any command.
I'm strongly against causing confusion, but I'm also against living
with something that could be improved because "we called it that and
we're stuck with it now".
