Could someone please kindly email the list with information about what is
required to run a windows build slave. I'm imagining an example
configuration and/or minimum specs. This is probably already written, but I
don't know where, hence my request.

Things I want to know:
1) Does the machine have to always be on?
2) Can the machine be behind a firewall?
3) Besides the Haskell platform and running cabal-install, what has to be
installed?
4) Can the cost of running said service be considered a donation to the
darcs project (eg., with tax benefits in some parts of the world)?
5) Are there services that would make this easier, like you pay $X/month and
you get a windows box suitable for this?
6) Has anyone with a linux based build slave considered running a wine build
bot?
7) Can one machine be a slave for multiple ghc versions?

Explanation about some of the above:
1) I have a machine at home I could potentially donate but I don't really
want it to be using up electricity 24/7. Also, as windows needs a lot of
reboots, what happens when the machine is rebooted when it is needed?
3) I don't want to install msys or cygwin.
4) This may be a selling point for people who use darcs at work and are
trying to convince their employer to help.
6) I realize wine is substantially different than windows but this may be a
worthwhile experiment. Hard for me to say without trying it for a while and
it may be easier to find wine slaves than windows ones.

Thanks,
Jason
