Try telling Darcs that you do want to rollback the depending patch. (darcs rollback -p or --match to make it easy to pick out the patch and its dependencies). Keep in mind that the new Darcs 2 rollback is equivalent in effect to doing things by hand, so you should feel no qualms about saying you want to rollback a dependency that you actually don't.
