I played one of the "Grumpy Old Men" in the discussion alluded to in the IRC log and I'm surprised that it was commented out, having assumed it made it in. (I've even got that discussion starred as there were things I had been planning to do with regard to it.) Reviewing the log above, email thread, and my own notes on the subject I am +1 on this version of machine-readable format being enabled, and apologize that that may not have been clear in the past. (I'm also still +1 on evaluating YAML (or JSON or other "cleaner-than-XML" standard) to augment/replace --xml-output and for future commands/tools where machine-readable structured output is appropriate. In hindsight, a YAML output for darcs file annotation as opposed to the given --machine formatter is likely a red herring, but one for what in the IRC log is referred to as "Patch Info" might be both nicer to look at/debug and easier to use than existing --xml-output.) -- --Max Battcher-- http://www.worldmaker.net/ _______________________________________________ darcs-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.osuosl.org/mailman/listinfo/darcs-users
