I thinks what I'm really asking is about how the github repository works in
the sense of keeping sync.
I forked darktable to my account and push to my account each time. Whenever
I click on the "pull request" link it is actually merged to the darktable
master branch.
So how do I get the changes made in the darktable original tree?
Does it happen automatically by some act of god (or act of code :-) or is
it one of the commands responsible for it?

Thanks for the link I will try to learn a bit from it.
